Chen Jian'an, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT

Chen Jian’an, male, Han ethnicity, was born in September 1965 in Xiuning, Anhui Province. He started his career in January 1989 and joined the CPC in December 1985. In 1989, Chen graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with a master’s degree.

He worked successively as Deputy Division Director at the Department of General Financial Affairs of the State Planning Commission (SPC), official at division director and deputy director general (DDG) levels at the General Office of SPC, and official at the DDG level at the General Office of CPPCC. From April 2003 onward, he served on a DG-level post at the General Office of CPPCC; served as Head of the General Affairs Group of the Office of the State Council Rejuvenating Northeastern Old Industrial Base Leading Group; Deputy Secretary General of the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government and member of the CPC Leadership Group of General Office of the Provincial People’s Government; Inspector and Deputy Director General of the Inspection Office of the General Office of the State Council; and Director General of the State Council Emergency Management Office (State Council General Duty Office). He became Director General of the Third Secretariat of the General Office of the State Council in March 2015. 

Chen Jian’an has been a member of the CPC Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the CCPIT since May 2019.
