Ren Hongbin, Secretary of CPC Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the CCPIT

Ren Hongbin, male, Tujia nationality, and a member of the CPC, was born in July 1966. He obtained a master’s degree in engineering.

At the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), he worked successively as a deputy director-general level official at the Department of European Affairs; Commercial Counselor (deputy director-general level) at the Chinese Embassy in Hungary; Party Secretary and Vice President of China Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, MOFCOM (director-general level); Director-General of the Department of WTO Affairs and Director-General of China WTO Notification and Inquiry Center; and Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade and Deputy Director of National Mechanic and Electronic Import and Export Office. In May 2018, he was appointed member of the CPC Leadership Group of MOFCOM and Assistant Minister of Commerce. In July 2021, he was appointed member of the CPC Leadership Group of MOFCOM and Vice Minister of Commerce.

In January 2022, he was appointed Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and Chairman of the CCPIT.
